Deere & Company is an American corporation that specializes in the manufacture and manufacture of agricultural, construction forestry equipment, diesel engines, transmissions (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment and much more. The motto of the company is “Nothing Runs Like a Deere”, which can be translated as “Nothing works like a Deere”, and the logo, a galloping deer with the inscription JOHN DEERE underneath.

The company began when the blacksmith John Deere opened a shop in 1837, where he began to sell small tools – shovels and pitchforks, and he was also engaged in repairs. But small tools were just the beginning, the main tool that distinguished the blacksmith was the steel plow. Before the steel plow, wood and iron were used, which quickly became dirty and worn out. Deere noticed that custom plow production was a lengthy process and began making products for review. This method allowed buyers to choose and buy a ready-made and tested plow, which was very well reflected in Deer’s business. After the death of the founder, his son Charles Deere continued the business, by that time the company was already producing various agricultural equipment. And only in 1912, after William Butterworth (Charles’s son-in-law) became president of the company, the company turned to the production of tractors.
